“A Christian Perspective on the XIV Dalai Lama and Tibetan Buddhism”

  Course Overview

Greetings,

We’re excited that you’ve decided to explore our online course. In twelve succinct lessons, you’ll receive a weekly briefing on the Tibetan Buddhist worldview held by the XIV Dalai Lama, the exiled god-king of Tibet from a Christian point of view.  The sessions include a multimedia presentation and a variety of complementary materials which range from MP3 files, charts, graphs, maps, and pdf’s.  I have answered a plethora of questions on religion drawn out of my experience as a practicing Buddhist for fourteen years (1970-1984) and now as a devout Christian since 1984. The multimedia presentations are loosely based upon “The Dalai Lama and Tibetan Buddhism.” a chapter in A Guide to New Religious Movements edited by Dr. Ronald Enroth, Professor of Sociology at Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California.  I believe you’ll find this study to be eye-opening, challenging and transformative.

Your questions and input are welcome.
